Day 2 of Agenda was a blur for 98% of the people there. We like the second day because it’s such a contrast to the hustle and crowd of the first, you can actually make it to your destination without getting ran over by dudes on electric wheelchairs, or flocks of swag too cool to move out of the way. In all realness though, the highlight of the 2nd day is always going up to The Berrics for free In N Out & a night of shredding.
Although it was going to be a tad bit different, being that it was the Adidas Copa Finals, we made the trek up to Los Angeles to cheer on the guys from Active, a shop near and dear to us. It was only an added bonus that Pusha T was going to perform that night. We showed up feeling spoiled, with free beer/drinks, the In N Out truck, Pizzanista, and Kogi that lasted all night.
After the celebration died down, we kicked it until we heard Pusha T blasting from inside. Chris Brown ended up performing for 1 song with him as well. With an eclectic mix of new and old songs, Pusha pleased the crowd all night with some insane beats, and his go to style. He finished off the night with grindin, totally appropriate if you ask anyone who was there. Yet again, thank you skateboarding!
You know it’s tradeshow season when you start seeing out of towners blowing up your insta feed (understandably) with spots they’ve been dying to skate, posts from companies shouting out their booth location in hopes to attract visitors, as well as your phone getting blown up by the homies begging you to help get them in with your super powerful non existent magical wand. Gone are the days of ASR and for a limited time, Crossroads, as Agenda has become a staple for everyone to congregate to give daps and check out the new new from all the different companies.
We are lucky enough to have a slightly unique perspective on the show, as we do not come into it working for any company with a booth, but just the hype of doing something DIY, tangible, and for the love of skateboarding. We decided to put together issue 8 in about 2 weeks to have while at Agenda. While our zines were getting cut and bound, we headed over to Girl’s Open House for some pre-Agenda shenanigans:
Denzel White – F/S Ollie
Raffles Raffles Raffles!
Jamie Owens ( TWS Editor In Chief ) Wallie Feeble
Truck You Toss didn’t see many winners lol
TWS ( Advertising Sales ) David Jurusik – Wallie Crook
Jamie Owens ( TWS Editor In Chief ) Wallie Blunt
Chris Roberts about to dunk Justin Eldridge
Some how no one could dunk Rick Howard
After, we headed back to Huntington Beach to get some rest knowing we had a super full day the next day.
After experiencing the (sometimes) pain & agony of doing a DIY effort (you all don’t even want to know what happened)…we were finally on our way to Agenda. Here’s a little glimpse into some sights around Agenda:
The rich teasing the poor with $$$
Rebel 8 always has an awesome display.

Then it was off to the hotel to get ready for the DGK after party. We had heard talks about Rick Ross performing throughout the day, then some story that he had to bail last minute. We knew that DGK always comes correct, and it was doubtful that he’s cancel, so we had high hopes for the night…& it was beyond our expectations. Fat Trel got the crowd on their feet, and after another couple Maybach Music artists graced the stage, in came The Bawse (Rick Ross Voice). Insanity ensued. Literally one of the best after parties either of us has ever been to…with some pre-show entertainment from homegirl below:
The Fam: TBone, Corey Smith, Fabrizio, Andrew & Osei
Katelyn & Big A – DGK ALL DAY
Marcus McBride & Richard Jefferson
TBone & Decenzo
Osei & Dylan Williams – Turn Up
DGK Afterparty – Fat Trel

After getting back to the hotel around 6am, we had a little bit of time to let the night sink in, before it was the start of day #2….

Just crossed the state line & Corey was already winning. #777
Right before getting ready to hit the streets & grab some food, we heard some loud screaming coming from down the hall. We ended up poking our heads out the door to these 2 Vegas Ratchets screaming about how bad they wanna get turnt haha. Moments later they’re trying to get us to buy them drinks & take them around Vegas. We weren’t having it so we started to head towards the elevators & the bigger girl said ” You Sure You Don’t Want This Fine Black Ass” moments after that she saw I had my camera around my neck & said “I Got A Photo For You Boys”. This was the aftermath – Enjoy

Recognizing Real Presents The Pizzacat’s 1st Annual Skate or Pie ! Skateboard and Pizza Contest!!
It almost feels like Volcom has become a 2nd home for us given how many events we’ve been to there in the last few months!
We ventured up to Costa Mesa again for their party celebrating their collab with Toy Machine.
A little hang and shred time outside:
End of the night Roll-Call:
On Saturday night we ventured out to Encinitas for Thrasher Magazine’s ‘Zine Thing party! With work from Tod Sawnk, Rich Jacobs, Sam Hitz, Deadbeat Club, Shep Dawgs, Michael Burnett, Andy Jenkins, and Ed Templeton adorning the walls and the tables, they left some extra room for other DIY zines like ours to come hang too. Whenever there’s an event that celebrates DIY/creativity/skateboarding, there’s always such a raw vibe and hype in the room. It was rad to be around people who really appreciate something tangible to hang on to, to look at, and to probably keep on their coffee table for house guests to check out as well. No internet recycle bin for any of the photos and words written that were present that night! Here’s a little taste of the event:
Roll Dawgs Zine issues 3-7 available for purchase &/or trade.
Michael Burnett’s “Nothing Is Fucked” zine ft. rad pins including Malto’s girl.

For the 5th year in a row, we made the trek out to Arizona for Phoenix AM. We missed the amenities of having a house like we did last year, but we made the best of a last minute decision to spend a few days in the desert. We rolled out differently this year, Andrew with the boys, and I surprised the boys at check in while they thought I was back in Cali resting up, to make the Roll Dawgs Zine whole on this trip!
Thursday night road trippin’ to Phoenix, AZ with Corey Blanchette & Chris Castellano #PhxAmOrBust
Friday we headed over to the Desert West Skatepark where PHX AM has been held the last few years to watch practice go down and get a few insta clips. Red Bull added a new feature this year that wasn’t too forgiving. People were getting worked on this!
Vans came in clutch on practice day. They were cooking up some cheese burgers and hot dogs to go with the ever important bag of chips, and Oreos for the dessert win. Thanks to Vans for also keeping everyone hydrated as well!
Vans ( Bob Provost ) nailin’ it all weekend.
Huge thanks to Trent/Laura Martin & Ed Cox for always hosting an amazing event. 20 years strong! Both Trent and Laura made sure we were taken care of this weekend, which was super rad on their end. We’re super proud of the end results of their efforts, and will continue to come out and support!
Friday night we headed to the Silver Cinemas. There were mad heads waiting for the premiere of A Happy Medium III. There were 2 showings: one at 8, and another at 9.
We walked up to a mob of people trying to pay and get their hand stamped so they could proceed to the less hectic line. Luckily we swooped in on the side and waited patiently while others were buggin out and pushing. Thankful one of the dudes working the table was nice enough to take our money and give us stamps even though we were off to the side. So we proceeded to enter while the mob tested their luck at getting in.
After waiting in the line outside, we had to wait inside of a hall that was super hot and smelled like the 100+ skateboarders in it that were hyped to see AHM3. Once we were let in, the hallways looked liked they belonged at Space Mountain at Disneyland, but we were too preoccupied with trying to swoop a seat in all the madness to take a pic.
Ran in this stud at the premiere. Angel Cardenas was holding it down with the Ramshakle crew. The vid was super rad, especially being a homie video. Be sure to check out their website here.
The next day the qualifiers went down. The homie Ryan Alvero getting ready to start his jam.

We stumbled into an older man that does private boat rentals off CL & just had a boat cancellation 30 mins prior. He talked us up & said it normally went for $365 for the day but he’d let us have it for $200-210 depending on how much fuel we use. Long story short we ended up getting it for $150 flat & had the time of our life!
